I have nowhere to put anything
Clothes, specifically. What can I do?

OK, this may be a bit too M.S.-y for you, but have you thought about getting a few big totes and seperating the cold weather clothes from the hot weather ones? I don't have much closet space here and it's worked pretty well so far. I kept out a few transitory peices during the switch and now we're all wearing the winter type wardrobe. I just stack the totes in the back of the closet until spring. Alternately, you could go thru and see what is good for saving and what is worn out and make a gigantic Goodwill run with the stuff nobody will wear again. I'm getting really anal about folding everything and seperating and labeling out the closet space with those cheapy metal space shelves from Wal-Mart. They help Blondie keep her stuff in a smaller space. Also, hanging shoe shelves make GREAT wardrobe planners - you can plan out the week's outfits, stick one in each shelf and don't have to worry about what the kids are wearing until the next laundry day. That way you can keep everything not on the shelf in one central location, instead of seperate ones in each room. Not sure if that would help with the space issue or not.
Hope some of that drivel is useful. Promise I'll post that stupid chili recipe here soon. Take care!!
I do keep the off-season clothes up in the attic, and try to drop off what I don't use at Goodwill; I'll have to look at some shelves for their closets, since I just can't find enough drawer space for everything. Maybe that'll make it easier for them to put away. Thanks for the help!
Ah-HA! Martha-ness! Whoo! ahem. I'm OK now. One more idea: if you can find little hangers and big-@$$ shower or curtain rods, you might be able to rig sometheing where they could hang the majority of their shirts - down low on kid hangers. Pant's take up the most room, I know, but shirts to their fair share.
Blondie loves Skippyjohn Jones these days. Do yours? Also, she says hi the the cousins. = ) Oh, and I need December ideas for Mr. Legs. Gimmie!!

Threaten your MIL with plagues if she doesn't stop buying stuff for the the kids and Mr. Legs. Or, better yet, store it at her house!
